From April 22 to 24, 2019, the VII Lisbon Legal Forum will take place, an annual event organized by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), Instituto Brasiliense de Direito Público (IDP) and the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences of the Faculty of University of Lisbon Law (ICJP / FDUL).

The seminar addresses the State's ability to promote quality of life and well-being for its citizens from the perspective of Justice and Security. The aim of the VII Lisbon Legal Forum is to discuss solutions, actions and public policies that seek to solve or mitigate the impacts of globalization and socio-political changes in the fields of public security, social security, organized crime, justice reform, criminal and procedural criminal, governance 4.0, artificial intelligence, among others.

With a view to fostering debate on relevant issues in a global context, focusing on Brazil and Portugal, the forum will have the topic "Justice and Security", bringing together political, legal and academic authorities from both countries.
