FGV in Die Welt
The work of the Fundação Getulio Vargas to forge closer relations between Brazil and Germany was noted in the article “Rio de Janeiro on the River Rhine”, in a special issue of the Brazilian version of Die Welt newspaper titled Brazil & Germany, published for the 35th Brazil-Germany Economic Meeting, which was held in Porto Alegre on 13 and 14 November.
The article highlighting the opening, in Cologne, of the FGV’s first foreign representation office in Europe, declares that the scientific cooperation with the FGV is an highly worthwhile initiative in the context of the approximation between the two countries. In addition, it recalls that the FGV is one of South America’s leading think tanks.
Koelnmesse, with which the FGV is partnered, is identified as another important player in the development of bilateral relations between Brazil and Germany. The company is an international leader in staging food trade fairs, as well as in services and products for the food and beverage processing industries.
In March 2019, jointly with the FGV, Koelnmesse will be bringing Anufood Brazil to Germany. The fair, devoted exclusively to companies from various segments of the food and beverages industry, will be modelled on Anuga, the world’s largest food trade fair, which has now been held in Cologne 34 times, and draws more than 7,000 exhibitors and 160,000 visitors.
