FGV Europe @ Latin American Day 2019 | Frankfurt

Once again, FGV Europe was invited to participate at the annual Latin America Day of the Business Association for Latin America (LAV). FGV Europe Project Manager, Carlos Augusto Costa, moderated the forum “Smart Cities in Latin America - Current developments” with a focus on the role of cities in the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and the Paris climate agreement.

Representatives from the German development cooperation agency (GIZ), Siemens, German Technology Provider IVU Traffic Technologies AG and two mobility start-ups from Bogotá, discussed the different roles of technologies, funding and citizen participation for making cities in the region smarter and more sustainable. Especially, the panel looked at ways to create value from collaboration projects between actors in Germany and Latin America.
