##The Fundação Getulio Vargas is among the 10 best think tanks in the world, according to the Global Go To Think Tank Rankings, published this year by the University of Pennsylvania. The institution moved up four positions in the ranking, from 13th place in 2015 to 9th place in 2016. FGV also maintained its position in the leading think tanks of Latin America for the 8th consecutive year and also was elected the best administrated think tank of the world.## Fundação Getulio Vargas´ technical advisory unit, FGV has developed a fundamental role for the institution´s international presence and prominence as a think tank, amplifying and applying the knowledge generated in the institution´s academic and research centers. Moreover, FGV operates on a larger scale, in Brazil and internationally, in the analysis and development of public policies, proposing solutions and alternatives, and fosters society´s involvement in relevant themes regarding the economy, politics, culture and other strategic areas. Published since 2006 by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program, the University of Pennsylvania considers nearly 7,000 think tanks from around the world in each year´s ranking.
