Investment in transport infrastructure is core subject of webinar

These initiatives, designed to boost the development of Brazil’s transport infrastructure, will be debated with the Infrastructure Ministry’s business promotion, planning and partnerships secretary, economist Natália Marcassa de Souza.

On August 3, 2021, at 6 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel, FGV Transport will hold a debate on the outlook for the transport sector and different concession and privatization plans to attract foreign capital. These initiatives, designed to boost the development of Brazil’s transport infrastructure, will be debated with the Infrastructure Ministry’s business promotion, planning and partnerships secretary, economist Natália Marcassa de Souza. The webinar’s moderator will be the director of FGV Transport, Marcus Quintella.

It is believed that the Infrastructure Ministry’s actions can help catalyze and accelerate the recovery of the economy, employment and income generation. This is due to the fact that transport infrastructure (made up of road, rail, waterway, pipeline and aerial systems) is recognized as the basis for the development and economic growth of a country. Its relevance and need for investment – to promote national integration and enable the movement of natural resources, industrial products, consumer goods and people between regions and abroad – will also be on the agenda.
