Online event debates prospects for railroad investment in Brazil

The event will feature speeches by the Minas Gerais state infrastructure and mobility secretary, Fernando Marcato, and the executive director of the National Association of Railroad Transporters, Fernando Paes.

On Wednesday, January 13, at 3 pm, the Center for Infrastructure and Environmental Solutions (CEISA) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) will hold a free webinar to discuss prospects for railroad investment in Brazil.

The event will feature speeches by the Minas Gerais state infrastructure and mobility secretary, Fernando Marcato, and the executive director of the National Association of Railroad Transporters, Fernando Paes.

The aim of the event is to highlight the importance of investment in the sector, which has been attracting large flows. Some major concessions will be renewed in the 2020-2021 period and new auctions will be held. It is estimated that this will lead to investment of more than R$20 billion.
