Webinar looks at climate agenda’s challenges and new opportunities

The aim to debate challenges, opportunities and innovations involving companies’ contributions to the climate agenda.

The Center for Sustainability Studies (FGVCes) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP) will hold an online business forum about “Companies’ Paths Toward Net Zero” on November 19, at 2 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel. The aim to debate challenges, opportunities and innovations involving companies’ contributions to the climate agenda.

The webinar will feature Ismael Nobre, a researcher and executive director of the Amazon 4.0 Project; and Abrão Árabe Neto, the executive vice president of Amcham Brasil. The moderator will be Guarany Ipê do Sol Osório, the coordinator of the Environmental Policy and Economics Program at FGVCes.

The event will also present a framework for corporate action on climate change, based on research, conversations with experts and discussions with the member companies of FGVces’ Business Initiatives. This framework is designed to organize information about climate-related business practices and support the structuring of strategies on multiple fronts, in addition to mitigation and adaptation.

FGVces’ Business Initiatives are a network coordinated by FGVces since 2010, which brings together companies interested in accessing and producing knowledge and sharing experiences about advances and challenges in corporate sustainability management.
