As per invitation of FGV Europe and the German company, Deutsche Bahn, Brazil's Minister for Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, visited Germany on the 28th and 29th of November. The minister was accompanied by a delegation of six representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure and BNDES. Also attending the program, were the director of FGV Projetos, Luiz Carlos Duque, as well as the directors of Siemens, the Brazil-Germany Chamber of São Paulo, and the German development bank - DEG.
The visit began in Hamburg with a meeting with representatives of Hamburg Port Consulting (HPC), followed by a visit to the port of Hamburg and a meeting with the port authority of the port of Hamburg.
On November 29, the Bilateral Infrastructure Forum was held at the headquarters of the German Confederation of Chambers of Industry and Trade in Berlin. In this occasion, Minister Tarcísio presented Brazil as a country of investment opportunities with a solid portfolio of concessions and privatization projects. The event aimed to attract relevant foreign investment to Brazil, in the infrastructure sector, from investment funds and companies, as well as positioning FGV as a partner in investment decision making. The minister's visit ended with a workshop with representatives of operators and investors to present and discuss proposals for concrete infrastructure projects.
