Food Security
Challenges
In this context, FGV Europe has been developing food production projects, with intense Brazilian technology transfer in countries located mainly in the African continent and Latin America.
Food production projects are designed based on the construction of business models that achieve technical, economic, financial, environmental and social sustainability.
In this context, the following steps are developed:
- Definition of the most appropriate business model;
- Executive projects:
- Agricultural and livestock production;
- Storage and processing;
- Production of inputs: seeds, fertilizers and biological pesticides;
- Assembly of machines and equipment, such as, implements, tractors, irrigation systems and agricultural processing;
- Training, qualification and technology transfer.
- Implementation project, considering the private sector participation;
- Analysis of risk and financial return, demonstrating the ability to take on and repay debts;
- Management of implementation projects to achieve the expected results.
