FGV and ITA sign cooperation agreement

The objective is to conduct scientific studies, apply knowledge in an integrated way and carry out projects related to the humanities, economics, mathematics, process technologies and management

On Wednesday, April 28, Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and the Aeronautical Technology Institute (ITA), two Brazilian higher education leaders, signed a memorandum of understanding for institutional exchange and cooperation. The objective is to conduct scientific studies, apply knowledge in an integrated way and carry out projects related to the humanities, economics, mathematics, process technologies and management.

The signing ceremony was attended by the president of FGV, Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, and the president of ITA, Professor Anderson Ribeiro Correia. The other participants included Professor Marcus Vinicius Rodrigues of FGV; ITA Vice President Jesuino Takachi Tomita; the head of ITA’s Research, Development and Innovation Projects Division, Emília Villani; the head of ITA’s Civil Engineering Division, Mayara Condé Rocha Murça; and Lieutenant Colonel McWillian de Oliveira.

The partnership between the two institutions, which both obtained maximum scores in the Brazilian Education Ministry’s last assessment, will last four years.

FGV offers undergraduate courses in the areas of administration (public and business), the humanities, data science, law, economics, applied mathematics and international relations, as well as graduate and executive education courses of various levels and types.

ITA offers undergraduate courses in the areas of aeronautical engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical-aeronautical engineering, civil-aeronautical engineering, computer engineering and aerospace engineering, as well as graduate courses in various sub-areas of engineering and physics
